Metter is located between Macon and Savannah off of I-16. It is approximately one hour west of Savannah, and nearly two hours east of Macon.

Get off I-16 at Exit 104. (The bridge crossing the interstate at this exit was recently named the Michael Guido bridge.) The Gardens are approximately 2 miles from the exit. Go straight into town, and through one stop light and one caution light. Go four more blocks and you will see the entrance to the gardens on the right, as pictured below. (As a landmark, you will see the town's water tower with the words "Home of the Sower" on it across the street.)
